Summary Report for the City Council meeting of Monday, June 25, 2018:
- Assistant to the City Manager Heather Neeley informed Council on the monthly activities for the Economic Development Corporation. Included in her report was the status of updating the City’s demographics through Retail Coach, which will provide updated demographics of our retail trade area.
- City Manager Vicky Rudy reported on the Montgomery Central Appraisal District annual operating budget request for FY2019. It included a 1.00% decrease. The budget is on file with the City Secretary.
- City Council approved the purchase of a 2018 Kawasaki police style motorcycle in the amount of $24,630.51 to replace an existing motorcycle at end of service. Council also approved a Budget Amendment to increase revenue for Public Works Sale of Property from $1,000 to $25,560 and create an expense line to transfer $24,631 of the sale of property funds to the Capital Improvement Fund to offset the cost of the Police Motorcycle. The $24,000 plus for the motorcycle was raised by sale of surplus Public Works equipment.
- City Council authorized City staff to call a meeting with the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone Board to review and approve a proposed interlocal agreement with Montgomery County regarding the Woodlands Parkway Overpass and Patsy at Robinson Road intersection. They also authorized staff to call a meeting with the Economic Development Corporation Board regarding a funding and reimbursement agreement.
