Join us between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on the second Saturday in February when Commissioner Noack will be waiving disposal fees for recyclable and hazardous materials brought to the Precinct 3 Recycling Center. The Feb. 10 event will be drive-through only, so all items should be easily accessible to staff upon arrival. This event is for Montgomery County residents only. No business or commercially generated material will be accepted.
Materials accepted free of charge will include the following:
Paint and Household Chemicals – limit of 40 gallons
• Latex paint, oil-based paint, stains & varnishes – DO NOT MIX
• Spray paint & aerosols – DO NOT PUNCTURE OR DRAIN
• Cleaners & polishes
• Craft & hobby chemicals
• Degreasers
• Drain cleaners
• Fertilizers
• Fungicides/Herbicides/Pesticides
• Mercury (thermometers, thermostats, etc.)
• Pool chemicals
• Turpentine & solvents
• Bags, tubs, or containers containing small items or loose materials will not be returned
Electronics
• TVs & monitors
• CPUs, laptops, cell phones & tablets
• Printer/scanner/fax machines
• Stereos, clock radios, MP3/CD/cassette players
• Keyboards, mice, computer speakers
Tires – limit of 12
• Passenger vehicle (car, SUV, pickup truck, etc.) tires only
• No off-road, commercial vehicle, or OTR tires will be accepted
Fluorescent Bulbs
• 4 foot tubes
• CFLs (compact fluorescent bulbs)
• No mercury vapor, halogen, incandescent, or LED bulbs will be accepted
Free Paper Shredding – limit of 4 file boxes
• Drop off only, boxes may not be returned
• No books, binders, binder clips, or data discs will be accepted
• Space is limited: first come, first served
